We went to Abkhazia from Adler, about 15 km to the border. Sightseeing tours in Abkhazia are offered several, different lengths. The first stop is at Stalin's dacha, on a mountain near Gagra.
View from the mountain near the Stalin's dacha
Then we stopped in Gagra - a very small town, almost all the sights of which are exhausted by the colonnade at the beach, flashed in many Soviet films.
In Pitsunda, we stopped for a bath.
While walking from the bus to the beach and back - looked around. The impression is that since Soviet times, it's not that nothing has appeared, but it has not even been repaired. In general, it is understandable why, but at least toilets, it was possible to do normal. And then we visited one - with holes in the floor, instead of the toilet. So for this pleasure they also took money.
Not far from the parking lot of the bus there was an interesting old church - something that is so lacking in our resorts. The cathedral dates back to the 10th century, but this, of course, is just the date of its foundation. Then he was rebuilt many times, in the XVII century was abandoned and gradually destroyed, and in the XIX century almost rebuilt.

After swimming we went to the mountains.
This is the main thing, for which worth to visit Abkhazia. The nature is amazing. Mountain rivers, waterfalls, gorges, Lake Ritsa - everything is very beautiful.
Here are just the tourists and there is a horrible amount, literally on every patch of the crowd ...
